Marriage Baggage . . . . Jacqueline Taylor

Julie you have taken Carl in marriage
But - he comes with the contents of his mother's garage
There are unicycles, pedal-cycle and motor-cycle parts
Car-wheels, extension-reels and even a board for darts
A torque-wrench, tool-bench, sander and grinder
Several tyres, extinguisher for fires and an old ring-binder
Oil-cans, beer-cans, billy-cans and petrol-cans
Several bumpers, three old jumpers and a Guide to Le Mans
Running-shoes, swimming-flippers, welding-gear and goggles
Hammers, spanners, grease-gun, metal-rack and toggles

Do not worry Julie, for every wife
Should know the story of a husband's life
Nothing in Carl's life is a mystery
Each item reveals a little history
We wish you well from near and far
Oh and by the way did I mention - there's also a racing-car!

Jacqueline Taylor . . . . Bill Quay, Tyneside.
